As a personal project, I photographed everyday people on "Main Street" across California. I discovered how each town's Main Street reflects its community, and how individuals share a common thread while still expressing their own distinct character. I gravitated towards the less fortunate and the offbeat, and while some were quickly angered by a camera pointed at them, others welcomed a photo for a few dollars or a cigarette. Traveling these streets showed me that every face has a story worth hearing.
